Treat your best friend to a saturday afternoon in the park.

The Fredericksburg Jaycees have invited dog lovers to meet non-profits, businesses and best friends of the communuity.    


Walk your four legged pal to Memorial Park to become a socialite. Puppy love will not be the only thing available. Come try a hand at our puppy paintings, who knows you might be living with the next dali-mation. The paint is non-toxic with a mess free puppy painting system.  We wouldn’t want to get you full of paint before your puppy portrait by our professional photographer.  Who better to have a photo with then your bestie!! Get a bite to eat at Beach Fries and the Doggie Bake Sale while watching the doggy talent show. The talent show is open to all dogs.  Prizes will be given away to the most talented, the cutest, the ugliest, and the worst talent,the cutest outfit, more categories TBD.


Walk around to see the vendors and their fundraising ideas you might want to participate in. Don’t forget to put our bid in on your favorite item in the silent auction before you head over to the dog park for some off leash fun.  


This a social event and a small fundraiser put together by the Frederikcsburg Jaycees which benefits all non-profit organizations who participate and provide the guests with a fundraiser for their cause. This is also a time for our community to meet the non-profit organizations of their community.  Ultimatly it is a day to do something special for man’s best friend.

Step back in time to 1920, where Speakeasies were the best form of higher-class entertainment. Speakeasies came about during prohibition when state fees for saloon licenses began to rise.  Bars began to operate illegally; some were even operated by those affiliated with organized crime.   Speakeasies were mostly located in large cities and provided food, along with entertainment.  Patrons who wanted to partake in the entertainment could only enter with the secret word, ”Speak Easy.”

 Gentlemen you don’t want to miss this Kat’s Meow, so grab your dolled up Dames and head down to the speakeasy joint. Don’t worry dolls you didn’t put your glad rags on for nothing. For one night only the Jaycees will entertain you with gambling, tastey hooch, awesome prizes, all with a Big Band  Sound. Kick off the night at Bailey’s with live Big Band entertainment from local vocalist, DAVID A. DIPAOLO.

The  Fredericksburg Knights of Colombus will entertain and excite you throughout the night  with  casino games.  Spend the night playing Black Jack, Texas Hold ‘em, 3 Card Poker, Roulette, and Craps.

Dames, if card games aren’t your style, grab a glass of hooch and play the slot machines. Don’t worry about losing  your spot, the hotsy-totsy Bailey’s servers will bring you your Hair of the Dog.  Find the ciggy who holds those fine cigars you’ve been craving for.

Before the giggle water hits you grab something to eat. This juice joint is known for it’s extensive, mouth watering menu.  A secluded seat awaits you in the lounge, where you can listen to the Big Band sound of Dave Dipalo while enjoying that tasty bite. Afterwards, grab a Gent or Jane and head to the dance floor to show everyone your best Charlson.

Don’t just bring your rubes for the tables, look around at the art adorned walls.  Put your silent bid in for the piece you love.  The silent auction is made up of work from our faviorate local Fredericksburg artists.  A portion of the bid price will go towards the art departments of Fredericksburg County.

The speakeasy entertainment runs til midnight at this time chips will be exchanged for raffle tickets of equivilent value. Winners place your tickets in the various prizes you want to win.
